In case you missed it, we’re in the middle of a heatwave. If you’ve survived this week so far, we take our hat of to you. If not, we reckon you’ll be gagging for a refreshing glass of cold water.
And by ‘Cold Water’, we obviously mean the new Major Lazer, Justin Bieber and Mø track. What better to quench your thirst than a Ed Sheeran-penned tropical summer banger. It’s like a musical Um Bongo.
Here at STYLEWORX, we’re a bit obsessed with Justin Bieber’s casual, easily-accessible style. Whether he’s popping to the shops (without stopping to hug any of his fans), or performing on stage, the Bieber makes sure he never breaks aesthetic.
Even in his earlier videos, Biebs started to hint at what was to come. In ‘Baby’, baby Bieber looked super chilled in a light blue open shirt and contrast grey tee. Age appropriate, but still very much on brand.
Since then, The Biebs has been getting more and more high fashion, which is somewhat ironic as he’s become less and less clothed. As the… ahem… face of Calvin Klein, he’s more than staked his claim as a force in fashion.
We love this Jackson Pollock-inspired t-shirt which JB rocked recently. We are completely obsessedt with the distressed shorts and crisp white trainer. Also see the round-rimmed reflective sunglasses. If you’re going to invest in a new pair this summer – and you really should – make sure they’re reflective.
Much like a Pidgey in London, reflective sunglasses crop up in lots of Justin’s outfits. Here, they’re worn on the collar of this cool longline indigo top, with a matching ripped jean. He smartens the aesthetic with a leather boot with a slight heel, only to make it more casual with an oversized sleeveless check shirt. It’s v ‘Clueless’, proving that he’s not clueless at fashion.
On stage, Bieber refuses to break his brand, which is something we really admire. The only thing he really added to his look is the statement gold bomber, which we hope isn’t a hint that he’s joined Team Instinct. Bomber jackets will, to quote Taylor ‘Taylor Smith’ Swift, “never go out of style”, so invest in one. We recently saw Fergie and she had four jacket changes so…
And Justin isn’t just wearing the fashion, he’s also making it. Following on from the likes of Beyoncé and Kanye, the merch for the ‘Purpose Tour’ is the kind of thing you could wear on the street but still looked stylish. We’ll take one of everything.
Justin is next over here for V Festival in August, and we for one cannot wait to see what he’ll wear.
